Louvenia E. (Matthews) Johnsonbaugh

April 14, 1941 – July 1, 2024

Louvenia E. (Matthews) Johnsonbaugh, 83, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday at Presbyterian Village.  She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late James and Kathryn (Thomas) Matthews.  She married David H. Johnsonbaugh in 1965.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years; a daughter Joy Johnsonbaugh of Altoona; a niece, Rebecca Bledsoe, and nephew, Paul Shaefer.

Louvenia was preceded in death by a sister, Claramae Shaefer.

She graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1960 and the Altoona Beauty School, where she received her operator and teacher license.

Louvenia was a former member of the Christians Women’s Club and the YMCA Auxiliary.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and doing word search puzzles.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
