M. Christina "Chris" Weyant

M. Christina "Chris" Weyant, 64, Hollidaysburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday at her residence.
She was born in Washington, D.C., daughter of Thomas I. and Catherine (Bonerigo) Weyant.
Surviving are her mother, Catherine Porta; two sisters: Amy Barnhart and husband, Jeffery, of State College, and Charlene Hinish and husband, Scott, of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Thomas N. and wife, Penny, of Williamsburg; six nephews; three nieces; one great-nephew; and one great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Chris graduated from Bishop Guilfoyle, class of 1972. She worked as an insurance agent at the Warren Gingrich Insurance Agency.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.
Chris was a faithful and loyal daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was always there for those who knew her in a time of need. Devoting 46 years in the insurance business, she strived to be of service to others, offering aid to her loyal friends, family and clients. Chris enjoyed the simple things life offered, especially the precious and memorable moments with her nieces and nephews as they grew. She enjoyed animals and golf, and long walks through town with her therapy dogs, Heidi and Molly, also gave her much pleasure. She took pride in a job well done. Rest in Peace. "You are forever loved."
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, Monsignor Stanley B. Carson celebrant. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
