Margaret L. (Conroy) Mattingly

June 15, 1933 - April 27, 2021

Margaret L. (Conroy) Mattingly, 87, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Bridget (Toomey) Conroy. She married James R. Mattingly, who preceded her in death in 2018, after 58 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Lynn of Mifflintown; a son, Robert J. of Altoona; two grandchildren; a step-sister, Molly J. Slep of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret graduated from Altoona High School in 1951 and was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Altoona. She enjoyed taking care of her family her entire life.

Friends will be received from 1-3pm on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a Vigil Service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Altoona, Fr. L’ubomir J. Strecok, Celebrant. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
