Margaret C. (Barroner) VanAllman

Margaret C. (Barroner) VanAllman, 92, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday at Celebration Villa of Altoona. She was born in Frankstown, daughter of the late Ethel C. Barroner. She married Robert E. VanAllman Sr. on Feb 14, 1949, who preceded her in death in 2011, after 62 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter Joy E. Wilfong of Hollidaysburg; a son, Dennis M. and wife Diane of Duncansville; and two granddaughters: Daria and Erica.  She was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Jr. in 2015.

Marge graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1948 and retired as an LPN II at Altoona Hospital after 25 years service.

She was a former member of Frankstown UMC, and a current member of Hollidaysburg FUMC where she was active the in King’s Daughters Sunday School Class.

Marge enjoyed cooking, watching cooking shows, gardening, and bowling.

Friends will be received from 1-3pm on Thursday March 16, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3pm with Pastor Paul Bottenfield officiating.

Private interment at Geeseytown Cemetery.
