Marietta T. (Oppel) Jackson Berkheimer, 94, of New Enterprise, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday. She was born in McVeytown, daughter of the late Paul and Bernice (Gearhart) Oppel. She married Robert W. Jackson who preceded her in death in 1973. She then married Byron Berkheimer, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Surviving are three daughters: Jeanette Wlazlowski and husband Robert of Red Lion, Jessie Jackson in NC, Charlotte Jackson in NY; two sons: Jim Jackson and wife Karla of Hollidaysburg and Scott Jackson and wife Tami in CO; 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn Crissman. Marietta was preceded in death by a son, Denny Jackson in 2013; and siblings: Lorren Oppel and Helen Smith.

She graduated from Hollidaysburg High School and was a homemaker.

Marietta attended Salemville Seventh Day Baptist Church.

She enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker.

All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
