Mary Grace (Caldwell) Anders, 94, of Alexandria, passed away Tuesday at Garvey Manor. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Seidel) Caldwell. She married Thomas R. Anders Sr. on June 10, 1950 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Altoona, he preceded her in death in 2015.
Surviving are children: Sharon E. Dick and husband Larry of Altoona, Thomas R. Jr. and wife Cindy of Alexandria, Dennis J. and companion Marsha of Martinsburg, William H. and wife Kathy, Ronald W. and wife Amber, Debra K. Saussure and husband Mark, all of Alexandria; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Mary Grace was preceded in death by siblings: Elizabeth Fogal, Mary L. Glunt, Laura M. Frederick, Harry E. Caldwell, Genevieve A. Carles, Dorothy H. Knee, George E. Caldwell, William B. Caldwell, Myrl D., Caldwell, and Raymond E. Caldwell, and a great granddaughter.
She attended St. Mark’s Catholic School and retired from Elco after 21 years service. Mary Grace was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, puzzles, travelling, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon Friday, September 11 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Tyrone, where a Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 12:00 noon. Fr. Jozef Kovacik officiating. Committal at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg. Arrangements by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
