Mary "Ginny" (Findley) Bowman

Mary Virginia “Ginny” (Findley) Bowman, 73, of Duncansville, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (McFadden) Findley. She married Barry Bowman in 1987. Surviving are her husband of 33 years; a daughter, Michelle Bowman of Duncansville; step-children: Jill Cutshall of Mapleton Depot and William D. Bowman in CA; four grandchildren: Cole, Dale, Sophia, and Christopher; a cousin, Tonetta McFadden; and a nephew, Robert Findley Jr. She was preceded in death by siblings: Alice and Robert.

She graduated from Central High School and PSU Altoona, where she earned an Associates degree in accounting. Ginny retired from Warnaco and was a master in Wado-ryu karate, where she earned a 3rd degree black belt. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she was a volunteer in the Scrip Program, Social Ministries, Finance Council, and various school activities. She enjoyed bowling, playing BINGO, and spending time with her family.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday, Jan 13, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Newry. Fr. Allen P. Zeth, Celebrant. Committal at Alto Reste Park.
