Mary Lou (Meighan) Vreeland, 87, of Hollidaysburg passed away on Thursday. She was born in Luzerne, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Petroski) Meighan. She married James C. Vreeland who preceded her in death in 2023 after sharing 60 years of marriage.
Surviving are her daughter, Tracy Flynn and Husband Rusty of Duncansville; a son, Jay and wife Beth of Greensburg; four grandchildren: Brian (Katarina) and Brady Flynn, Jake (Kelsey) and Sophie Vreeland; two great-grandchildren: Addie and Archer; a brother, Thomas Meighan (Debbie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou Graduated from Luzerne HS and worked at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, where she met her husband, Jim.
She was a member of St. Michael Church.
Mary Lou and her husband enjoyed visiting Siesta Key, Fl with their Bedford friends for many years. She was a life-long Notre Dame fan, and she always cherished her time spent with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10am to 11am Saturday Nov 22, 2025 at St. Michael Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am, with Fr. Alan E. Thomas, Celebrant.
