Matthew C. Johnson

Oct 26, 1986 – March 24, 2025

Matthew C. Johnson, 38, of Duncansville, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness. He was born in Altoona, son of Charles and Tami (Hoover) Johnson.

Surviving are his parents; a brother, Zachary (Rachel); three nephews: Ryan, Mason, and Gage; and a niece, Alexis.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Homer Hoover Jr. in 2017.

Matt graduated from Hollidaysburg HS and Penn State with a degree in Agribusiness Management.

He was employed by Sheetz as a Merchandising Coordinator.

Matt was a life member of the Duncansville Fire Company and was also a member of the Alpha Fire Company out of State College.

He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and niece, gaming, and Penn State sports.

Friends will be received from 4-6pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 6pm.
