Melissa Putt Obituary

Melissa J. (Diehl) Putt, 55, of Duncansville, passed away Wednesday after an extended illness.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Roberta (Hileman) Diehl.  She married Bryan Putt in 2011.

Surviving are her husband of 13 years; a sister, Charlene Diehl of Hollidaysburg; her mother-in-law, Anna Putt; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law; and special friends: Daryl Jr. and Dawson Rightnour.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister in 1967, and a father-in-law, John Putt.

Melissa graduated from Altoona High School in 1986, Altoona School of Nursing in 1990, and earned her BS in Nursing from PSU.

She worked as an RN at Altoona Hospital for over 20 years, and was a member of Saxton Volunteer Fire Co.

Melissa was a member of Dry Run Church.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, reading, and loved doing crafts.

Friends will be received from 12-2pm on Sunday July 21 at Sorge Funeral home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.  A funeral service will be held at 11am Monday July 22 at Dry Run Church.

Interment at Dry Run Cemetery.
