Merrill “Dean” Markley Jr., 68, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Merrill Sr. and Elizabeth (Hartley) Markley. He married Roseanne Pulcinello in 1991.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years; 5 daughters: Jenifer Adams (Gary), Erin Masone (Michael), Holly Markley, Emily Lakner (Mitchell Showalter), and Lisa Quick (Brett); 5 grandchildren: Julian, Livi, Alex, Ava, and Owen; and one sister, Pattie Harpster.
Dean graduated from Altoona High School in 1973.
He was employed by Butterick, F.L. Smithe, and retired from Paper Converting Machine Company. He also was the proprietor of Dean Electrical Services.
Dean loved spending time with his family, who will deeply miss him.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 4pm with Mark Markley officiating. Private interment at Alto Reste Park.
