Jan 4, 1957 - Jan 14, 2022

Michael L. Lanzendorfer Sr., 65, of Duncansville, passed away Friday evening, January 14, 2022, at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by family and love. He was born January 4, 1957, in Altoona, son of the late Roger P. and Alberta M. (Noel) Lanzendorfer.

Surviving are his children: Michael Lanzendorfer Jr. (wife Kendra Stultz, grandchildren Michael III and Brynlee), of East Freedom, Josh Lanzendorfer (wife Ana Rossi, grandchild Josh Jr.), of Duncansville, Caleb Lanzendorfer (grandchildren Addison and Grayson), of Roaring Spring; fiancé, Denise Rhodes, of Duncansville; former wife, Karen Ermin (husband Bill), of Altoona; three brothers: James R. and wife, Diana, in KY, Roger P. and wife, Kim, of Duncansville, and Jerry T. (Brenda Lightner), of East Freedom; three sisters: Alice Anders, Brenda Salyards, and husband, Bob, all of East Freedom, and Sandy Hodge and husband, Jerry, of Duncansville. He had countless nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Elaine Oakes, Nancy Ake, Linda Lanzendorfer, and David Lanzendorfer.
Mike was a retired motorcycle mechanic and drag racer who spent his whole life specializing in Harley Davidson motorcycles, a love of which he passed on to his children and grandchildren. During his motorcycle and racing career he built a 1947 Knucklehead and set a land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats, UT.

Mike cherished the time he spent with his family, siblings, nieces and nephews, and many cousins whenever they were together, and especially at the river where he could be found with a smile and a harmonica. His love for his children and grandchildren was fierce and will live through them eternally.

Family and friends will be received from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29th, at the Duncansville VFW Post 8724 (1665 Newry Lane, Duncansville), where a celebration of life will be held.
