Michael R. Resig

July 15, 1951 - October 14, 2024

Michael R. Resig, 73, of Duncansville, passed away Monday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Herman and Betty (Jones) Resig. He married Doris “Dolly” Walls in 1971.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years; a daughter, Cara Carnes and husband Aden of Munhall; two sons: Benjamin and wife Lisa in VA, and Raymond and wife Heather of Claysburg; two grandchildren: James and Pyper; a sister, Sherry DiGiorgio; and a brother Randy Barry and wife Carol. 

He was preceded in death by a son, Marc in 2018; and a brother, Greg.

Mike graduated from Milton-Hershey High School in 1970 and retired from Norfolk Southern in 2004 as a carman.

He was an active member of Grace Fellowship Leamersville Campus.

Mike enjoyed riding his bicycle and working on cars.

Friends will be received from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday October 19, 2024 at Grace Fellowship Leamersville Campus, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon, with Pastor Mark Lingenfelter officiating.

Private interment at New Canoe Creek Cemetery.
