P. Joseph Lehman

P. Joseph Lehman, Sr., 79, Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020.

He was born in Patton, Pennsylvania, son of the late George A. and Laura C. (Ager) Lehman.  He married Annette Kelly at Saint Patrick’s Church in Spangler in 1964. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years; a son, P. Joseph Lehman, Jr. and his wife, Betsy, of Hollidaysburg; a daughter, Susan Kelly Lehman of Hollidaysburg; and two grandchildren: Lauren Kelly Lehman and P. Joseph Lehman III. 

He was preceded in death by three sisters:  Ann C. Molyneaux, Donna M. Lehman, and M. Louise Farrell; and a brother, George E. Lehman. 

Joseph was a graduate of Patton High School.  He graduated from Lehigh University with a BS in Civil Engineering and Penn State University with an MBA.  He worked with civil engineer William R. Kelly and PennDOT.  He later founded P. Joseph Lehman, Inc., Consulting Engineers in 1969.  He also founded Holliday Real Estate and Lehman Development.  

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.  A private Mass celebrating his life will be held at the convenience of the family.  Condolences and memories may be left on the guest book at SorgeFuneralHome.com.

In honor of Joseph’s dedication and support of therapeutic horseback riding, memorial donations may be made to the Lehman Engineers Horse Trail Ride and Trail Walk for Dreams Go On (311 Heather Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602).  Volunteering of time at the barn in the future is also very much appreciated.
