Patricia A. (Mattingly) Hayes

Patricia A. (Mattingly) Hayes, 90, of Lakemont, passed away Friday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James and Helen (Holiday) Mattingly. She married Walter Hayes, who preceded her in death in 2007 after sharing 50 years of marriage.

Surviving are three daughters: Kathy Black (Bryan) and Laurie Hayes, both of Lakemont, and Linda Shultz (Tim) of Williamsburg; eight grandchildren: Lindsey, Jason, Corey, Courtney, Kelsey, Shawn, Justin, and Katrina; 7 great-grandchildren: Jaley, Connor, Tucker, Austin, Owen, Maelyn, and Mila; and two sisters: Nancy Herzog and Debbie Scherman.

She was preceded in death by a son, Walter A. “Wally” in 1994.

Pat was a Registered Pediatric Nurse for many years at Mercy Hospital.

She was member of Altoona Bible Church.

Pat enjoyed puzzles, traveling, the beach, watching hummingbirds, and spending time with family.

Friends will be received from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Altoona Bible Church, Altoona, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 7pm with Pastor Stewart W. McClelland officiating.
