Paulette J. Frederick, 73, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late David and Marguerite (Weakland) Frederick. She married Louis A. Mollica on April 13, 1985.

Surviving are her husband of 37 years; a son, David; two step-sons: John and Mike; four grandchildren; a great grandson; a sister, Bonnie; and two brothers: John and Gerald.

PJ graduated from Penn State University with a Master’s in Education. She taught for 30 years as a 1st grade teacher in the Altoona Area School District. She also taught adult education in Philadelphia, Mississippi for Vista.

PJ was politically active and was always ready to stand up for a just cause. She loved to travel and to experience new cultures.

There will be a gathering of friends and family announced at a later date. Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
