Phillip J. Huss Jr.

Philip J. Huss Jr., 45, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, son of Philip J. Sr. and Karen S. Frye-Townsley.

Surviving are a son, Philip J. III; his mother, father, and step-father, Joe P. Winegardner III; three sisters, Cherie Ann Winegardner of Altoona, Carrie Ann Campbell of Duncansville, and Marie Consalvo of Hollidaysburg; a brother, David Winegardner in VA; his best friend and cousin, Bill Huss; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Phil was preceded in death by a brother, Joe P. Winegardner IV; his grandparents: Blair and Joan Frye, and Robert and Marjorie Huss.  He graduated from Chancellor High School in Fredericksburg, VA, and was formerly employed at Edgemate as a Supervisor.  He enjoyed fishing and target shooting with his son, basketball, and playing video games.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
