Raymond A. Blazer, 94, of Duncansville, passed away Friday at his residence. He was born in Antis Township, son of the late Jess and M. Grace (Nearhoof) Blazer. He married Shirley Harker in 1956.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years; three daughters: Sherri Smith Altoona, Rita Sommer (Michael) of Altoona, Bonnie Blazer of Tyrone; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a sister and five brothers.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Rab served in the US Army during Korea, and retired as a railroad brakeman.
He was a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society.
Rab enjoyed square dancing, bluegrass festivals, camping, boating, and hunting. He also enjoyed the companionship of his golden-doodle, Ruby.
Friends will be received from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday Oct 1, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm.
Private interment at Calvary Cemetery.
