Richard A. Claar, 66, of Altoona, passed away Thursday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Homer and Frances (Lickel) Claar.

Surviving are a daughter, Amy Crookshank; a grandson, Dustin Steele; two sisters: Judith Miller and Diane Lambie; a brother, Timothy; a brother-in-law, Donald Snyder; many nieces and nephews; and an adopted daughter, Siera McCracken.He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert and a sister, Bonnie Snyder.

Richard enjoyed music.
