Rita M. (Acker) Ash

July 15, 1963 – Sept 7, 2024

Rita M. (Acker) Ash, 61, of Altoona, passed away Saturday.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of Marlene (Long) and the late Wesley Acker and Ray Ash.

Surviving are her mother of Somerset; a sister, Charlene Sredy of Berlin; two brothers: Wade Acker of Somerset, and Terry Acker in CA.  She was preceded in death by her companion, Richard Peo.

Rita graduated from Somerset High School in 1981 and worked for Kauffman’s Wedding World for many years before starting her own business, Richards Bridal.

She loved working with brides and planning perfect weddings.
