Rod E. Yerty, 72, of Roaring Spring passed away Sunday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Carl W. and Ruth E. (Knipple) Yerty.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Vicki (Jenkins); three daughters: Jennifer Jones and husband, Dr. Shawn of Duncansville, Lisa Musselman and husband Ryan of Imler, and Shauna Page and partner, Russel of Roaring Spring; a son, Travis Bush and wife Amber of Altoona; a brother, Dwayne and wife, Jane of Altoona; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Bush in 2018; a brother, Jay; and a sister, Paula J. Wirfel.
Rod graduated from Central High School in 1971, and was a partner in the family business, Yerty Auto Salvage in Roaring Spring.
He attended Journey Church and enjoyed watching the Steelers, boating, fishing, and helping people.
Friends will be received from 12 to 2pm and from 4 to 6pm Monday, October 27, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, October 28, 2025 with Pastor Anthony Baker officiating.
Interment at Holsinger Cemetery.
