Roland R. Sleek Sr.

Roland R. Sleek Sr., 75, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at his residence. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Theodore and Viola (Frye) Sleek. He married Linda L. Brentnall in 1968, who preceded him in death in 2015.

He is survived by a son, Roland Jr., and husband, Craig Emerick, of Hollidaysburg; a step-daughter, Vicki S. Mullen, and husband, Brian, in IA; two grandchildren: Sarah and Rachael; two sisters: Sandy Moore in FL and Sharon Martin of Boalsburg; three brothers: Ted in CA, Jim in ME, and Sam of Phillipsburg; and a companion and special friend, Barbara Spicher of Hollidaysburg.

He was preceded in death by a son, John, in 2018.

Roland graduated Hollidaysburg High School, Class of 1963, and retired from Butterick and Blair County Prison.

He was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church in Hollidaysburg.

Roland enjoyed spending time with his 5th grade girlfriend and outdoor activities.

Friends will be received from 5-7pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow, Pastor Norm Saylor officiating.

Interment at New Canoe Creek Cemetery.
