June 10, 1941 – March 9, 2025
Ronald B. Burkhart, 83, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday surrounded by family. He was born in Altoona, son of the late, Ralph and Alverta (White) Burkhart. He married Donna J. Moyer in 1969, who preceded him in death in 2017.
Surviving are daughters: Ronda Golden (William) of Gallitzin and Gina Lynn (Ryan) of Hollidaysburg and Kim Frye of Altoona; a son, John Kenawell (Jodie) of Altoona; grandchildren: Zachary Merritts and Willa Golden; many greatgrandchildren and a sister – in – law, Carol Burkhart.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Lois, Peg, and JoAnn and a brother, Robert.
Ron served in the US Army and retired as a lineman.
He was a lifetime member of VFW 8724, American Legion Post 516, and Geeseytown Fire Hall.
Ron enjoyed fishing, watching The Price Is Right and NCIS, working on small motors, and spending time with his grandkids and dog.
Friends will be received 2-5pm Wednesday March 19, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service with full military honors will immediately follow at 5pm.
Private interment at New St. Mary Cemetery.
