Ronald F. Frye

Ronald F. Frye, 81, of Altoona, passed away Friday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Blair Frye and Vivian Walter. He married Betty Fredrick in 1963.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years; two daughters: Dorinda Folen and husband, Peter and Wendy Longenecker; two grandchildren: Jeffery and Joshua; three great-grandchildren: Silas, Ellie, and Ezra; and three sisters: Lisa, Karen, and JoAnn.

He was preceded in death by 7 siblings: Zane, Butch, Patty, Steven, Billy, Debbie, and Cathy.

Ron retired from Blair Clay Products after 30 plus years as a brick layer.             

He enjoyed hunting, going four wheeling, NASCAR, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4pm Monday, November 3, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 4pm.  

Private interment at Blair Memorial Park.
