Ronald C. McCready II, 61, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday. He was born in Altoona, son of Peggy (Grove) and the late Ronald C. McCready. He married Cynthia Crust in 2009.
Surviving are his wife of 15 years; two sons: Michael and Tyler (Brittany); step-children: Julie Lohsl (Chuck), Scott Tragon (Missy), and Jeff Tragon; his mother, Peggy; eight grandchildren: Jessica, Lea, Charlie, Joel, Julian, Jaden, Makenna, and Janae; two great-grandsons; a sister, Wendy; three nephews: Derek, Jack, and Brad; three nieces: Briana, Jill, and Ashley; and a very special friend, Duane Kuny and family.
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Kristie Tragon; a sister, Cindy Eaken; and a brother-in-law, Jack Eaken.
Ronnie was a 1980 graduate from Altoona High School and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
He was a former employee of Skills of Central PA, Altoona and currently worked for KBS Services as a regional zone manager.
Ronnie enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, hunting, and Friday night Texas Hold ‘Em with the guys. He was an avid Dallas cowboy fan and spent many years supporting his son Michael’s wrestling career.
Friends will be received from 11am-1pm and 3-5pm on Thursday August 8, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where funeral service will immediately follow at 5pm with Pastor Tim McGarvey officiating.
