Roy L. "Lee" Hetrick, 67, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord on Monday.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Roy O. and Mary (Coon) Hetrick. He married Beverly Bartley in 1973.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years; four sons: Josh and wife, Nikki, of Altoona, Matt and wife, Jessie, of East Freedom, and Mike and Jeremy and wife, Alyssa, all of Altoona; nine grandchildren: Brianna, Kayla, Carson, Elise, Taitan, Alex, Peyton, Jonah and Oliver; two sisters: Esther Hoover and Chrys Mallory, both of Altoona; and two brothers: Paul and Tom, both of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Edwards.
Lee served in the U.S. Army in Germany during Vietnam. He retired from Blair County as a custodian.
He was a member of the Altoona Bible Church, where served on the Trustee and Deacon Boards and played on the softball team.
Lee enjoyed sports and volunteering at church. He also enjoyed travelling and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2020, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, at Altoona Bible Church, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., Pastor Stewart W. McClelland officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
