Ruby J. (Harbaugh) Shaw

Ruby J. (Harbaugh) Shaw, 91, of Newry, passed away Saturday at her residence. She was born in King, daughter of the late Charles and Lela (Claycomb) Harbaugh. She married Boyd Shaw, who preceded her in death in 2022 after sharing 72 years of marriage.

Surviving are three daughters: Linda Campbell and husband William of Newry, Judy Hauser of Mt. Pleasant, and Tracy Frank of Leechburg; seven grandchildren: Kevin, Jess, Cathy, Eric, Brian, Chris, and Jamie; and 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Shaw.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Hauser; two sons-in-law: Douglas Hauser and James Frank; three brothers: Charles, Robert, and Jack; and a sister, Helen.

Ruby was a member of Newry Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was also a member of WELCA, Ladies of the Cloth, and Daughters of the Nile.

Ruby enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with family.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7pm Wednesday March 27, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, and from 10 to 11am Thursday where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11am, with Rev. Brian Hauser officiating.   

Private interment at Alto Reste Park.
