Ruth K. (Frederick) Clapper, 81, Duncansville, passed away Thursday at her residence.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late A. Emmert and Ada Grace (Kensinger) Frederick. She married Glen A. Clapper in 1964, and he preceded her in death in 2017.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori McCoy and husband, Eric, of Duncansville; a son, Brian and wife, Michele, of Hollidaysburg; six grandsons: John, Adam, Zach, Mark, Derek and Jefferson; and a sister, Lois K. Wentz of Woodbury. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald K.
Ruth graduated from Morrison Cove High School in 1956. She then graduated from Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as a registered nurse She attended Puzzletown Road Bible Church. Ruth enjoyed quilting, embroidery, puzzles, cooking and baking, and spending time with her grandsons.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Puzzletown Road Bible Church, Pastor Jon Gross officiating.
