Sarah “Sally” (McSurdy) Mollish, 84, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at Cedarwood. She was born in Glen Carbon, daughter of the late James and Lola (Hennessey) McSurdy.
She married George W. Mollish in 1961.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years; four children: Valerie Mauk (Craig), James, William, and Michael, all of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren: Hayley Galloway and Travis Mauk; and sister, Judith Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James McSurdy in 1949.
Sally was a 1959 graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, Pottsville, and worked for the Bureau of Vital Statistics as a clerk.
She was a longtime member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.
Sally enjoyed watching Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler football, doing crossword puzzles, and most importantly, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4-6pm Tuesday Nov 5, 2024 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Hollidaysburg, where a vigil service will be held. Friends will also be received from 9-10am Wednesday, Nov 6, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am with Fr. Alan E. Thomas, Celebrant.
