Scott A. Thompson, 60, of Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona, after complications with heart surgery. He was born in Altoona, son of Carolyn (Welch) and the late Leroy “Randy” Thompson. He married Colleen Dougherty in 1987. Surviving are his wife 33 years; three sons: Cody and wife Kendra of Bellwood, Jeff Ingram, and Taylor and wife Alyssa, all of Altoona; two grandchildren: Bailee and Kinlee; his mother of Altoona; a sister Melissa Pringle of Altoona; three brothers: Rick in OH, Troy, and Brett, both of Altoona.
Scott worked as a fiber optic lineman, and enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with his family and granddaughters.
