Sean T. Lake, 41, of Duncansville, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Marlton, NJ, son of Gary H. and Mary Pat (Costlow) Lake. He married Linnea Mock in 2010.
Surviving are his wife and soulmate, Linnea; three children: Ava Eileen, Ilse Rowe, and Garrison Paul; parents: Gary and Mary Pat; a brother, Joshua and wife Beth; two nieces: Bella and Giselle; two nephews: Jackson and Landon; his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Eileen Mock and Brother and sister-in-law, Alex and Sarah Gates and son, Declan.
He graduated from Eastern Regional HS in Voorhees, NJ in 2002 and earned an associate’s degree in automotive management at Pennsylvania College of Technology. In 2004, he moved to Altoona with his parents and began doing what he was passionate about, working on vehicles.
Sean could light up the room with his personality and his presence. He was often referred to as “Big Bear” because of his exceptional hugs and warm smile. His friendly and honest nature gained him many devoted and loyal customers. He was also an avid outdoorsman, whose enthusiasm was instilled in him at the age of 4 when he unofficially joined his father’s boy scout troop.
