Shawn W. Benner

Shawn W. Benner, 59, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday at his residence. He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late James R. and Shirley M. (Bowmaster) Benner. He married Doris Richardson in 2007.

Surviving are his wife of 17 years; six daughters: Erin Morrow (Mike), Shirley Wienke (Megan), Sharell Green (Russel), Shanea Benner, Jessica Lowery, and Aaila Jones; three sons: Shawn Benner II (Morgan), Justin Lowery (Kat) and Cody Smith; 16 grandchildren; four sisters: Denise Kephart, Carol Benner, Robin Benner, and Susan Richardson; a brother, Jim; a nephew, Ron Wombacher (Nikki); and a lifelong friend, Allen Eger.  

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jaxon Lowery, and a sister, Cathy Foor.

Shawn was a truck driver with S & H Trucking.

He enjoyed being outdoors, having bonfires, and spending time with family and friends.

Friends and family will be received 11am to 1pm Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
