Shelly Ann Ritchey

July 16, 1960 - May 27, 2026

Shelly A. Ritchey, 65, of Duncansville, passed away Wednesday at Hershey Medical Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Thomas G. and Helen M. (Simendinger) Ritchey. 

Surviving are her sister, Nina Ritchey and husband Randy Schmerbeck of Roaring Spring; a brother, Randy T. and wife, Sharon of Blue Knob; a niece and nephew: Rebecca E. and Matthew T. and wife Angelica; a great-niece, Mila, and a great-nephew, Owen; and life time friends: Carol and Cindy.

Shelly graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1978 and obtained her B.S. in Phlebotomy from Lee Hospital.

She worked at Nason Hospital, Ruetgers-Nease Chemical, and retired from Ablemarle Corporation.

Shelly was a member of the Adam Holliday Chapter NSDAR and Friends of Canoe Creek.     

She was a Christian and enjoyed flower gardening, outdoor activities, and camping.

Friends will be received from 10am to 12 noon Monday, June 1, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a memorial service will immediately follow at 12 noon.

Interment at Mount Moriah Cemetery.
