Shirley M. Colbert, 82, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Blair and Florence (Hughes) Horton. She married John C. Colbert, who preceded her in death in 1986.
Surviving are four daughters: Renee McAlevy (Gary), Jonnie Frederick (Jim), Lynn Colasante (Kevin) and Tracey Raichle (Dwayne); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Horton.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Beverly “Bubba” Weaver, Delores “Nip” Colbert, Debbie “Big D” Horton and Harry “Hop” Horton.
She retired from Altoona Hospital in environmental services.
Shirley loved spending time with her family, playing bingo, going to Atlantic City, yard sales, poinsettias, Conway Twitty’s “Hello Darlin” and 7&7’s at her favorite bar, Joe & Mary’s. She was very vivacious, and people were drawn to her personality.
