Sterling A. Lewis

July 24, 1952 – Nov 20, 2021

Sterling A. “Sweet Lew” Lewis, 69, of Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona.  He was born in New Kensington, son of the late James Kidd and Hilda (Dean) Lewis.

Surviving are his wife of 8 years, Connie (Rudy) of Altoona; children: Tara, Carman, Camille, Amie, Jamie, Nikki, Lynn, Joy, Patrick, and Zach; many grandchildren; siblings: Austin, Debbie, and Robert.  Ster was preceded in death by sisters: Betty and Marsha; and his step-father, Ezekiel Harvey.

Ster graduated from Kiski Area High School and served in the US Navy during Vietnam.

He was a very active member of AA and NA for 20 years.

Sterling enjoyed basketball, football, Pittsburgh Steelers, and he enjoyed being a Certified Recovery Specialist.      

 A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
