Steven K. Shiffler

Steven K. Shiffler, 63, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday doing what he loved, working in the outdoors. He was born in Altoona, son of Marie (McCarty) and the late Walter Shiffler. He married Michealle Erdely in 2019. Surviving are his wife of Altoona, four daughters: Ashley Shiffler of Hollidaysburg, Autumn Wagner and husband Phillip of Altoona, Kouri Leyda and husband Jesse of Belle Vernon, Caley Galarneau of Altoona; a son: Steven II of Altoona; a step daughter, Madison Gates of Bellwood; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; his mother of Altoona; four sisters: Rhonda Miller, Janice Johnston, Deborah Kuhn, Ellen Heavner; many nieces and nephews.

Steve was employed at Burgmeier’s as an equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting, singing, spending time with his grandchildren, and building things.

Friends will be received from 12-2pm and 4-6pm on Wednesday Nov 4, 2020, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
