Susan E. Bowers

Susan E. Bowers, 73, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Thomas W. Sr. and Joyce L. (Rhine) Bowers.

Surviving are a brother, Rick Bowers of Altoona; a niece, Maria Aikens; and a great niece, Evalyna and great nephew, Noah.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas W. Bowers Jr.

Sue was a 1970 graduate of Hollidaysburg HS and worked many jobs in her field, from being a secretary for several law offices, dispatcher for the Altoona Police Department and retired as a secretary from the PennDOT permit office.        

She was a lifetime member of the Berean Baptist Church in Duncansville where she volunteered in the correspondence office.

Sue enjoyed gardening, cats, and cars. She was a kindhearted woman, who loved her family, friends, and neighbors.

 Friends will be received from 10am – 12 noon Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon.

Private interment at Blair Memorial Park.
