Susan D. (Conrad) Conahye

Susan D. Conahye, 64, Duncansville, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 28, 1953, in Altoona, daughter of Robert "Bucky" and A. Louise (Jacobs) Conrad. She married Raymond Conahye on February 7, 1992.

Surviving are her husband, Ray; two daughters: April and Tiffany; three sons: Shawn P., Brandon and wife, Michelle, and Shawn; four grandchildren; her mother, Louise Conrad; two sisters: Lisa and Lorie; and four brothers: Dennis, Randy, Perry and Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bucky" Conrad, in 2006 and her father-in-law, Howard "Howdy" Conahye.

Susan was a 1971 graduate of Penn Cambria High School. She was employed as an embroiderer at D.L. Evans Associates, Altoona, and was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.

Susan enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and two cats, Peaches and Ella, bird-watching, gardening, playing cards and helping care for others.

Friends will be received from 9:00 until the 10:00 a.m. memorial Mass on Friday, April 13, 2018, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Monsignor Robert C. Mazur presiding. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
