Susan Kurty, 94, formerly of Williamsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Ganister, daughter of the late Steven and Mary (Monarch) Feck. She married Andrew Kurty in 1947. He passed away May 16, 2011.
Surviving are three daughters: Marianne Montgomery and husband, Robert, in Florida, Nancy Yunkin and husband, Ellis, of Lititz and Susan Person and husband, Arthur, of Port Matilda; two sons: Robert and wife, Debbie and David and wife, Cindy, all of Duncansville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her six siblings; and a granddaughter. She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School. Susan enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening, especially in her flower beds. Her favorite Bible verses were Proverbs 3:5-6 and Philippians 4:6.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12 p.m., Pastor Robert Davis officiating.
Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Slavic Gospel Association, 6151 Commonwealth Dr., Loves Park, IL 61111.
