Susan Holly O’Connor, 65, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at home, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Boyd and Jolene (Dewald) Clapper.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, Terrence; two daughters: Heidi Copsey (Brian), and Angela Miller (Justin); two grandchildren: Vincent and Lianna Sprouse; two sisters, Wendy Cornelius (Rodney) and Tracy Chapman (Jeffrey); a brother: Edward Clapper (Christine); and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Clapper.
Susan was a 1978 graduate of Altoona Area High School and was a bank manager for most of her career.
She enjoyed motorcycle rides, camping trips, reading, and walking her devoted dobie, Lexi. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 21 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Brian Sandell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations please be made to the Central PA Humane Society. The family would like to thank the staff of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and her UPMC Family Hospice team (Karen and Heather) for their diligent care.
