Sylvia L. Smith, 93, Duncansville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday at The Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born at home in Dry Run, daughter of the late Albert J. and Esther M. (Wilt) Snyder.
Surviving are two daughters: Bonita Phillips of Dry Run and Deborah Yingling of Duncansville; five grandchildren; Michael (LeRoya) Phillips in Virginia, especially the loving and caring John Phillips in Virginia, Kristi Yingling (Tom Daniels) of East Norriton, Joshua (LeAndra) Clifford of Altoona and Julie Yingling of Williamsport; a sister, Velma Wilson; and numerous great grandchildren and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Smith; daughter, Darlene Clifford and sons-in-law John Clifford, S. Bill Phillips and Carl Yingling.
Sylvia was a long-time member of Dry Run Baptist Church, Duncansville. She loved quilting, birds, horses, and gardening.
