Sylvia “Syl” Grace (Mock) Woods, 84 of Tyrone, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday. She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Edward Robert and Fredda Mae (Holsinger) Mock. She married the love of her life, James Anthony Woods on October 28, 1960, who preceded her in death on November 29th, 2021, after sharing 61 years of marriage.
Surviving are her three children: Kelly, Todd, and Brian; seven grandchildren: Heather, Mike, Missy, Joe, Courtney, Rachel and Dusty James; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Sherry Robeson; and her beloved cat, Maggie Mae “Tater”.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Hugh Edward and Robert M. Mock. Sylvia was a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. She worked at the Loungeray until she became a stay-at-home wife and mother.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, and her friends. She loved camping, traveling by car, crossword puzzles, word searches, Elvis Presley and Harper's Ferry, WV.
