Teddy A. Lykens

Aug 5, 1953 – Sept 10, 2022

Teddy A. Lykens, 69, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday at his residence after a battle with esophageal cancer.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late Robert and Marylou (McKee) Lykens.  He married Bobbi Klesyk in 1975.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years; a son, Trevor and wife Brandy of Lancaster; two grandchildren: Jacob and Ethan; a sister Roana Seidel; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother, David Lykens.

Ted graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1971.  He had one employer his entire life, Tel-Power Inc., where he has worked for 46 years within Maine and Pennsylvania, and was President of the Company.  He also worked with his business partners to develop the Deer Meadow Retirement Community.

He was a life member of Geeseytown Community Fire Company.

Ted enjoyed playing golf, taking family vacations to the beach, and hosting cookouts.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 1-3pm on Wednesday, Sept 14, 2022, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.  A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
