Theodore C. Shade

Theodore “Ted” C. Shade, 83, of Tyrone passed away Wednesday, surrounded by his family. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Archie and Violet (Rennow) Shade. He married Kay Plummer in 1974.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years; two daughters: Tiffany Shade (Travis) and Aubrey; a son, Robert (Jon); two grandchildren: Mercedes and Zachary; a sister, Lenora McGovern; a niece, Sue Lutz (Jeff); a great-niece Emmy, and a great-nephew, Josh.

He retired from the Sam Rae Car Shops in Hollidaysburg after 27 years as a welder/painter.

Ted was a member of The Well Center of Blair County and Fields of Harvest Church.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and horses and other animals.

Friends will be received from 2 - 4pm Monday October 21, 2024 at Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a funeral service will immediately follow at 4pm with Rev. Dr. John A. Godissart officiating.

Private interment at Alto Reste Park.
