Theresa M. (Frederick) Cooney, 63, of Altoona, passed away Thursday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William R. and Delores J. (McCabe) Frederick. She married Ronald J. Cooney in 1981.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years; five sisters: Mary Coyne, Patti Feather, Pam McCulley and husband, John, Jackie Frederick, and Grace Edmonds and husband, Cliff; two brothers: Paul Frederick and wife, Michele and James Frederick and wife, Jonnie.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Roberta “Bobbi” Frederick and Lori Dodge; and a brother, William Frederick.

Theresa was a 1978 graduate of Altoona High School. She worked for Metz Culinary Management as a lunch lady at Juniata Elementary.

Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, diamond art crafts, and bowling.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3pm Sunday August 18, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 3pm with Pastor John Gray officiating.
