Thomas C. Riggleman Sr.

May 4, 1947 – April 19, 2022

Thomas C. Riggleman Sr., 74, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday surrounded by his family at his residence.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Paul and Claire (Burley) Riggleman.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Carol (Link); two daughters: Melissa Beeler and husband Joseph of Bellwood, Cynthia Steele and husband Bob of Grove City; four sons: Thomas Jr. and wife Hope, Bill and wife Katie, and Michael, all of Altoona, and John of Harrisburg; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; five sisters: Joann Brown, Pat Illig, Janet Poorman, Sharon McCloskey, Paula J. Imler; and three brothers: Ronald, Larry, and Terry.  He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Xayvion; and siblings: Shirley Eichenlaub, Paul, Wayne, Raymond, James, Robert, and Gary.

Tom retired as a receiving clerk from Veeder-Root after 40+ years service.

He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1691 and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Tom enjoyed scratching lottery tickets.

A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the Catholic War Vets Post 1691: 290 Valley Ave. Altoona.
