Wanda L. (Hetzel) Welch

Wanda L. (Hetzel) Welch, 72, of Altoona, passed away at her residence.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Conway) Hetzel.  She married James Welch, who preceded her in death in 1995 after 23 years of marriage.

Surviving are her best friends: Denise Benson and Sara Otto, and many extended family members whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by siblings: Johnny, Ronald, Thomas, and Diane.

Wanda graduated from Altoona High School in 1969 and retired as a Bundle Girl from Tritex Sportswear.

She enjoyed spending time with her kitty cat, Sara.

Friends will be received from 2-4pm Thursday Nov 2, 2023 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will be held at 4pm.
