Warren R. Miller

February 20, 1926 – April 11, 2024

Warren Ray Miller, 98, of Cresson, passed away Thursday at Graystone Manor, Huntingdon. He was born in Johnstown, son of the late William H. and Mabel (Crum) Miller. He married Louise Mazur, who preceded him in death in 2012 after sharing 61 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters: Judy Dodson and husband, Randy of Duncansville, and Joyce Dellinger in CA; two sons: David and wife, Laura of Chambersburg, and Robert and wife, Bonnie of Huntingdon; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Adams.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pauline Bumgardner in 2015, and brothers: George and Dean.

Ray graduated from Beaverdale High School in 1943 and served in the US Army Air Corps in WWII.

He retired from Bethlehem Steel as a Millwright.

Ray was a member of Central Pennsylvania Bible Conference, a graduate of Altoona Bible Institute, and a former board member of the Altoona Rescue Misson.

He was a member of Dry Run Independent Baptist Church.

Ray enjoyed volunteering for the Church and local ministries.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm April 16, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service with military honors will immediately follow at 4 pm with Pastor John Leatherman officiating. Private interment at Dry Run Cemetery.
