Wayne J. Lingenfelter

Wayne J. Lingenfelter, 78, Altoona, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at UPMC Altoona.

He was born February 27, 1940, in Altoona, son of the late Frank J. and Virginia (Hileman) Lingenfelter. He married Connie L. Smith.

Surviving is his wife of 31 years.

Wayne was a 1959 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired as a mechanic for Auto Electric.

He was a member of Frankstown Sportsman's Club, and he enjoyed sprint car racing and the outdoors.

Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service with military rites performed by the Blair County Veteran's Honor Guard will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, Pastor Jon Gross officiating.
