William Loch Bow, 67, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at UPMC, Altoona.
He was born January 4, 1951 in Lebanon, PA, son of the late George and Velma (Gringrich) Bow. Bill married Terry Clowes, December 27, 1969 in Fogelsville, PA.
Surviving are his wife with whom he shared 48 years of marriage; a daughter, Sara Stewart (Zack) of Hollidaysburg; three sons: Jesse of Harrisburg; Daniel of Tyrone and Adam (Sara) in Singapore; proud and loving "Pap" to three grandsons: Nicholas and Jackson Stewart and Loch Robert Bow; two sisters: Ann Kreider (Gary) and Dale Cordisco (Kip); a brother, Ben (Mary); sisters-in-law: Sharon Ulric, Linda Moore, Wendy Strohl and husband John who was Bill's golf buddy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Gary Ulric.
Bill was a graduate of Ewing High School, Trenton, NJ, class of 1968; and earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Forestry in 1973 from Virginia Tech. He was currently employed at DCNR, Huntingdon Branch, as a forester doing what he loved, surrounded by trees. Bill previously worked at Appleton Papers.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren; playing golf, traveling, the beach, and the outdoors.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Duncansville, 1200-4th Avenue by Reverend Elizabeth A. Hess.
